Files are compressed using efficient H.265 or H.264 technology, keeping 8K videos surprisingly compact and easy to edit with the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.

The X5 supports 360° video up to 8K30 and slow-motion recording up to 4K120. For standard recording, use a single lens with a 170° wide-angle lens, up to 4K60. With 72MP PureShot photos, enhanced stabilization (FlowState), Horizon Lock, and MegaView for reduced image distortion, the camera consistently delivers top-quality images. The rugged body is waterproof up to 15 meters, and with a removable 2400mAh battery, you can film for up to 88 minutes in 8K or even longer at lower resolutions.
