How Long Does My Coverage Last?

Your Virgin Megastore Cover protection starts the day after your manufacturer warranty ends and can last up to 3 years, depending on the plan you choose. Accidental Damage coverage starts from the date of purchase.

What's Covered?

  • Extended Warranty (EW): Covers electrical or mechanical breakdowns after your manufacturer warranty expires.
  • Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH): Covers sudden damage like drops, spills, or breaks from everyday mishaps.
  • Inclusive Coverage for Product Attachments: Items that came with your product (like controllers or styluses) are also covered if you include them in your plan.
  • Wide Range of Categories: From tech and gadgets to musical instruments, collectibles, and memorabilia.
  • International Coverage: You’re covered even when you travel abroad (except in war zones).

What's Not Covered?

  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, etc.)
  • Liquid immersion or combined liquid and physical damage (ADH).
  • Damage while the item is left unattended or used improperly.
  • Pre-existing defects or those covered under manufacturer warranty.
  • Wear and tear, consumables (e.g. batteries, ink), or routine maintenance.
  • Damage due to negligence or unauthorized repairs.
  • Items used commercially or for rental.
  • Software, media, or data loss.

What Are the Protection Limits?

You can make unlimited claims, up to the value of the product’s purchase price.

We repair your item at no extra cost. If the repair cost is equal to or more than the current value of the item, you may receive a replacement (minus depreciation and previous repair costs).

Depreciation in the Case of Replacement (VAT excluded):

  • EW: 25% after year 1, 40% after year 2, 55% after year 3.
  • ADH: 25% after year 1, 40% after year 2, 75% after year 3.

Processing Fee: For Accidental Damage claims, a flat AED 100 processing fee applies.

How Do You Make a Claim?

  1. Report the issue within 5 days of it happening.
  2. Make sure the issue isn’t something you can fix using the manufacturer’s guide.
  3. Drop your item at any Virgin Megastore customer service counter or email us at claims@amnly.com.
  4. We’ll guide you from there, including doorstep pickup for larger items.
  5. Repairs usually take about one week.
  6. Once fixed, we’ll deliver it back to the same address.
  7. Remember to attach your purchase receipt when you submit your request.

Cancellations

You can cancel your Virgin Megastore Cover within 30 days of purchase if you haven’t made a claim yet.

Fraudulent claims = automatic cancellation with no refund.

International Claims

If a breakdown occurs outside the country of purchase:

  • Email claims@amnly.com with a description of the issue and your documents.
  • If the claim is approved, repair the item locally and send us the final invoice.
  • Reimbursement will be processed by bank transfer, based on the lower value between the invoice and the item’s estimated value in the original country of purchase.
