The goal was to create a figure that was a constant reminder to stay positive and optimistic. Because although the 60s are often referred to as "The Happy 60s", the decade was characterized by turmoil. Therefore, Ehrenreich's designs were a welcome cheermaker in an otherwise turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble are the designer's very first Hoptimists: a dressed-up girl with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a split head. Today, the cheerful Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and bring joy all over the world.
