"First Impressions Of Earth" is a reissue of the studio album by The Strokes, originally released in 2006. The album was recorded in ten months. The Strokes originally intended to collaborate with the producer of the first two albums, Gordon Raphael. However, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. later introduced the band to Grammy Award-winning producer David Kahn, who had worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett and Sublime.
